Privacy policy
Pilot TV controls the television on the local network. The website test form is a separate process described below.
Controller and contact
Paweł Olszewski is the controller of data submitted through pilottv.tech. For privacy requests, write to kontakt@polszewski.com.
Data stored on the phone
The app stores the saved TV name, model and local network address; pairing token and certificate fingerprint; app settings; and the MAC address used for network wake-up when available.
The pairing token and certificate fingerprint are encrypted with Android Keystore. App data is excluded from backup and device transfer. Removing a TV deletes its pairing data. Uninstalling Pilot TV deletes all local app data.
Local network
Pilot TV finds televisions and sends remote and numeric-keypad commands only on the local network. Commands go from the phone to the selected TV without a cloud relay.
This version does not include a keyboard for sending arbitrary text.
Optional support through Stripe
The Support screen can open a Stripe payment page in the browser. Support is optional and does not unlock features or content.
Pilot TV does not receive or store card details. Stripe processes data entered on its payment page under Stripe’s own privacy terms.
Test applications on this website
The test form collects the Google account email used in Play Store, TV model, phone model with Android version, form language and consent. The data is used to review equipment, run the closed test and contact the applicant about it.
The legal basis is consent. The form does not store an IP address, browser headers, device identifier or advertising identifier.
Storage and recipients
Each accepted form is stored as a private file in Vercel Blob. Vercel provides the website and storage infrastructure. There is no public list of applications.
The app and website do not use advertising, product analytics, session replay or advertising cookies. Data is not sold.
Retention and your rights
Test-form data is deleted 120 days after submission. An automatic daily task removes expired records.
You may withdraw consent and ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive your data by writing to kontakt@polszewski.com. Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children and changes
Pilot TV is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children’s data.
Material changes to this policy will be published here with a new effective date.
